Saturday April 19th Show

A few weeks ago we had a show at the Tradewinds Hotel. It was a lot of fun. The ladies did a wonderful job. It was only two Samoan numbers, but still they put in the hours and you could see difference. It was a good night. I have some pictures up of our ladies. Greetings World

Some girls from our dance group are going to be dancing for a fundrasier on April 19th. There will be the Lavatai Boys who will be doing their infamous fire knife dance and the Shimasaki girls dancing. It will be an exciting night for all of us. Our adult group will also be performing. I'm not sure what the name of the dance is called, but we're calling it the "shhh dance".

I will get some pictures up asap from that performance. But to soothe the soul, I finally have some pictures from the Tahitian competition last december.

Welcome to Tui Moana Dance Group's Blog. We are a Polynesian Dance Group located in the beautiful island of American Samoa deep in the South Pacific. We pride ourselves in our original choreography and stunning dancers. We not only keep to our traditional roots, but also practice contemporary dancing from all over the world. To name few islands in which our dances derive, Samoa, Cook Islands, Tahiti, Hawai'i and New Zealand. Our dancers are able to transform the rich plant life of American Samoa into stunning headpieces and skirts.
